Three variants of the REVA car have been launched in the city by REVA Electric Car Company (RECC), the pioneers of revolutionary electric cars in the country. The cars were showcased at SIAT 2003, Pune from Jan 15 to 18, and at the Pune Expo till Jan 19.

Ugra Raj Enterprises P Ltd are the company's first dealers in the city who are located on the Sholapur Road, Wanowire. The car is tuned for ideal city driving conditions (with dent proof panels).

It is fully automatic and runs on battery, with a rugged two-door hatchback and is easy to drive (no clutch / gears), easy to park and maneuver.

It has been tested for safety and reliability to withstand the most trying conditions.

Speaking on the occasion of the cars launch in the city, Chetan Maini, MD, said "It gives us great satisfaction to present a car that has been built to suit Indian conditions and has got overwhelming response overseas.

The fact that the REVA is 92 pc indigenised and has high levels of technical prowess and quality consciousness.
