REVA - The Electricity Car
January 15-22, 2002 - Auto Expo News

India's first electric car REVA is introducing its new model REVA Deluxe at the Auto Expo.

The Deluxe offers upgraded interiors, blower and defroster with heater, stereo system and climate control seats - a cutting edge technology patented by Amerigon.

With an operating cost of only 40 paise per kilometre, the REVA is surely a cost effective solution to your commuting problem.

With no engine, carburettor, gearbox or radiator, REVA has virtually no maintenance charges.

Also, there are no gears and no clutch making REVA ideal for city driving. REVA has a city driving range of 80km and can achieve a top speed of 65km/hr. Recharging is easy and the charge time is 80% in three hours and 100% in seven hours.

It's a two-door hatchback and can take a payload of 227kgs. Its compact size makes it a good alternative for the crowded city parking areas.

With so many pluses, REVA is being promoted as the 'hassle-free' car.
