REVA Electric Car Company, the maker of India's first environment friendly electric car, today announced the launch of an all new fully loaded version of the REVA Classe. The company has also designed India's first convertible (with soft top) electric car called-REVA Zephyr.
Priced at Rs.2,99,500 in Bangalore, the REVA Classe is equipped with remote controlled air conditioning, central locking and leather upholstery. REVA Classe has been redesigned with a host of additional features like body coloured bumpers, soft-touch colour coded interiors, leather wrapped steering wheel, a high-end stereo system wheel caps and special carpets.
Announcing the launch of new designs, REVA Managing Director Chetan Maini said REVA Zephyr, India's first convertible electric car, will be delivered some time in September, 2003. The company will conduct road shows across the country to showcase the product before commencing the delivery. The company aims to sell around 200 to 500 numbers of REVA Zephyr during the next year. It has already received four firm bookings including one from the Maharaja of
Udaipur," Mr. Maini said".

Priced at Rs.3,75,000 in Bangalore, REVA Zephyr is built with swanky interiors and accessories like alloy wheels, leather seats and leather wrapped steering wheel and a new stylish dashboard and also a four-speaker high-end stereo system.
REVA has also for the first time in India introduced a pre-cooled car. It has fitted remote cooling feature, wherein the A/C in the REVA Classe can be activated using a remote control device even when its is parked or being charged. REVA A/C model has been priced at Rs.2,79,500.
Since its launch in July 2001, REVA has sold 300 cars in India and aims to sell about 500 cars per annum from the next year onwards.
It has recently bagged an export order from a UK based company REVA is also expanding its production capacity to 150 per month by next March. The company has so far invested Rs. 80 crore in the project.
