REVA Electric Car Company, promoted by the Maini Group, has partnered with UK-based Going-Green Ltd., for marketing the vehicle in the United Kingdom and other parts of Europe.
The company is also set to export the EV to Malta, Malaysia and Japan by the end of 2003, managing director of RECC Chetan Maini and co-founder of Going Green Ltd Steven Cain told reporters on Thursday.
"Going Green is planning to become the biggest retailer of electric vehicles in the world over the next five years. It is indeed encouraging to know that Going Green has taken the initiative to showcase REVA to the rest of the world, "Mr. Maini Said. Going Green intends to cater to customers through its innovative products and services. "REVA's EV will provide the best value besides being an environmental-friendly vehicle on the road in Britain, "Mr. Cain said.
On the response to REVA in the city, Mr. Maini said the customers have expressed immense satisfaction over the performance of the
EV.

"The recent response at the Auto-Mechanika fair at Frankfurt has been overwhelming. The coming months will see REVA on road in Malta, Malaysia and Japan and we are making serious attempts in forging alliances with partners across many other countries," Mr. Maini added. Currently, REVA has dealerships across Delhi, Bangalore, Chennai, Goa, Delhi, Surat and Jodhpur with over 275 REVA's on road.
The Maini Group of companies offers range of products that primarily include automotive components, machined castings and forging, manual/battery operated in-plant material handling equipment and granites, tiles and slabs for the domestic and export markets. Spanning 12 locations in and around the city, the manufacturing facilities are manned by a 1,400 strong workforce supported by specially trained suppliers. The group spends seven per cent of its turnover on research and development.
