Chetan Maini, Managing Director of REVA Electric Car Company, has been awarded the Young Entrepreneurs Organisation's (YEO) Thomas Alva Edison Award for innovation. the award ceremony was held in Mexico City recently where some 350 members of the YEO gathered for their semi-annual conference.

The awards are based on three of Edison's principles. 'Fail your way to success'; 'Stop innovation and start playing' and 'Limitation is springboard to greater activity'.

Contestants were asked to describe how they had applied one of the three Edison guiding principles in their companies.

Chetan Maini won the award under the 'Stop innovating and start playing' category.
