according to officials. Nepal currently has over 1,400 electric
vehicles plying in various regions.
In Kathmandu alone, there are over 750 electric
three-wheelers of EVCO and NEVI being used for public transport.
REVA will export 150 cars in the first year and 450 cars over the

conventional cars imported into Nepal.

choice, considering the fact that today, the Himalayan Kingdom is

concessions on import of EVs," Chetan Maini, managing director,
REVA Electric Car company said.
Sapna Shakya, Chairman, Ecovisions Pvt. Ltd said
that the requirements of the Nepal transportation system are similar
to that of India. "Considering the pristine ambience of Nepal, non-polluting
vehicles are the obvious choice as people movers.
The public transportation system shortcomings has
primed Nepal to be a good market," he said.
